Uber has officially launched its ride-booking services in Kuwait, allowing residents and visitors to arrange daily transportation through the Uber app.
The company said the launch is part of efforts to introduce technology-driven changes to Kuwait’s transportation sector and provide residents and tourists with a convenient alternative for getting around the country.
Kuwait users can now book rides through the Uber app, with several options available, including Taxi, Uber Comfort, Uber Black and Uber Lux.
The service is also designed to support visitors to Kuwait by offering an app-based booking experience familiar to travelers who already use Uber in other markets.
Among the features available to users are the ability to add multiple pickup locations within a single trip, schedule rides in advance and make digital cashless payments through the app.
Uber said passenger safety is also a key part of its service offering. Riders will have access to support from the company’s global response team, which operates around the clock.
The company said the launch will contribute to the digital transformation of Kuwait’s transportation sector while providing residents and visitors with a more accessible and technology-enabled way to arrange their journeys.
