Motorists traveling along Oud Maitha Road can now complete their journeys in as little as five minutes, down from around 20 minutes, following the completion of a major road development project by Dubai’s Roads and Transport Authority (RTA).
Completed on September 20, the project has reduced travel time by 75% while increasing the capacity of Oud Maitha Street, one of Dubai’s busy road corridors.
The road’s capacity has increased by 50%, rising from approximately 10,400 to 15,600 vehicles per hour in both directions.
The development is designed to improve traffic flow between Oud Maitha Road, Al Asayel Street and surrounding major corridors, providing motorists with faster and more efficient connections.
The project forms part of Dubai’s ongoing efforts to enhance road infrastructure and accommodate increasing traffic volumes across key areas of the emirate.
With the additional capacity now available, the upgraded corridor is expected to support smoother movement and reduce journey times for motorists using Oud Maitha Road and its connecting routes.
