Kuwait’s General Fire Force has closed 111 establishments for failing to comply with fire safety standards and issued urgent notices to another 170 businesses following inspections in Hawally Governorate.
The inspection campaign was led by the General Fire Force in coordination with several government agencies. Authorities identified violations of safety regulations and took enforcement action against establishments found to be operating in breach of the required standards.
The General Fire Force said the measures aim to reduce fire hazards and protect the lives and property of members of the public and workers. Compliance with fire prevention requirements is essential to minimizing the risk of incidents and ensuring safer workplaces and public spaces.
Authorities warned that establishments failing to meet fire safety requirements would face strict action without leniency. The General Fire Force added that inspections would continue and be intensified in different parts of Kuwait in the coming days as part of ongoing efforts to enforce safety regulations.
