Rain fell in Masafi in the UAE’s eastern region on Saturday afternoon, October 24, as the National Centre of Meteorology (NCM) forecast further showers in parts of the country, accompanied by strong winds and blowing dust.
The NCM said convective clouds could develop over scattered areas, particularly in the eastern and northern regions, creating conditions favorable for rainfall. Winds may become fresh to strong at times around cloud formations, reaching speeds of 45km/h and stirring up dust and sand.
The forecast also indicated a chance of rain over eastern and western areas during the afternoon, with temperatures potentially falling in some locations. The conditions come as cloud development and intermittent showers affect parts of the UAE.
Humidity is expected to increase overnight and into Sunday morning across some coastal and inland areas, bringing the possibility of fog or mist. Motorists are advised to remain alert to changing visibility and follow official weather updates.
The NCM continues to monitor weather conditions and has forecast the possibility of further rainfall in affected areas.
