Kuwaitis Honored on World Hindi Language Day

In a celebration of linguistic and cultural ties, the Indian Embassy in Kuwait honored four Kuwaiti citizens for their knowledge and promotion of the Hindi language on World Hindi Language Day. The honorees—Mubarak Rashid Al-Azmi, Saad Thahir Al-Rashidi, Iman Hussein Al-Kout, and Salah Khalaf—were recognized for their contributions to Hindi language and culture.

The event drew over 350 participants, including students and teachers from 25 Indian schools in Kuwait. As part of the celebrations, the embassy held Hindi poetry recitation competitions across three age groups. Indian Ambassador Paramita Tripathi highlighted the importance of the day and awarded prizes to the competition winners, reaffirming the embassy’s commitment to supporting Hindi through year-round cultural and educational programs.
