Kuwait Arrests Four Asian Expats for Operating Unlicensed Grocery Stores in Sabahiyah

Security authorities have arrested four Asian expatriates for working at unlicensed grocery stores in residential areas of Sabahiyah, located in Ahmadi Governorate.

The arrests were made during a joint inspection campaign conducted by the Ahmadi Criminal Investigation Department in coordination with the Public Authority for Food and Nutrition.

The operation targeted unauthorised grocery businesses operating in residential neighbourhoods as part of efforts to identify violations and prevent illegal commercial activities.

According to authorities, four Asian nationals were apprehended while working inside the establishments. The Public Authority for Food and Nutrition subsequently issued violation notices against the businesses and initiated the necessary legal procedures.

The campaign is part of Kuwait’s ongoing efforts to monitor commercial activities, enforce licensing requirements and ensure that businesses comply with applicable laws and regulations.
