Kuwait City: The Cybercrime Department has issued an urgent warning to citizens, residents and all individuals in Kuwait, urging them not to publish or circulate any content related to wars, military operations or missile activity.
The warning was released through the department’s official social media channels under the title “Urgent Warning in All Languages” as part of efforts to safeguard national security and social stability.
Authorities stressed that sharing videos, photographs or other electronic content related to military operations, security activities or missile incidents could constitute a violation of Kuwaiti law and may result in legal action against those responsible.
The department also warned against publishing or forwarding content that promotes sectarianism, fuels division or incites unrest within society. Officials emphasized that such actions threaten national unity and social cohesion.
Residents have been urged to remain completely neutral and avoid engaging with provocative or inflammatory content circulating on social media platforms, particularly during the current regional security situation.
The Cybercrime Department reiterated that preserving public security and protecting the country’s social fabric is a shared responsibility, calling on everyone to exercise caution and comply with official instructions.
Authorities confirmed that legal measures will be taken against individuals found violating these regulations, stressing the importance of responsible online behaviour during sensitive periods.
