Kuwait Interior Ministry Warns Drivers to Follow Towing Rules

Kuwait City: The Ministry of Interior has urged motorists to comply with all regulations governing vehicles used for towing trailers and marine vessels, stressing the importance of road safety and adherence to traffic laws.

In a statement, the ministry highlighted several key requirements, including ensuring that all trailer lights are functioning properly, maintaining the maximum speed limit of 80 km/h, staying in the right lane and equipping trailers with the necessary safety devices and reflective tape.

Authorities also emphasised that it is strictly prohibited to tow more than one marine vessel behind a vehicle. The ministry warned that violating this rule could result in the impoundment of both the vehicle and trailer for 60 days, in accordance with Article 207 of the executive traffic regulations.

The ministry called on drivers to follow all towing safety guidelines to protect road users and prevent accidents, particularly during periods of increased travel and recreational boating activity.
