UN CHIEF CONDEMNS ATTACK ON PEACEKEEPING MISSION ON DRC

Antonio Guterres, UN Secretary-General has strongly condemned the attack against a position of UN peacekeeping mission stationed in the Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC). A Malawian blue helmet died during the attack. The Secretary-General offered his condolences and support for the family of the deceased, the people, and the government of DRC. Moreover, he commented that this action amounted to a war crime and has demanded an immediate investigation to find the perpetrators. He promised the UN's support for the DRC's effort for maintaining peace and stability.
