Abu Dhabi: India - UAE has become the busiest airline in the world despite the closure following the impact of the second wave of Corona in India. More than a dozen countries, including the Gulf and Britain, have banned travel to India in July, more than double the number in June. The figures are released by the official airline guide.

The route handled 9.55 lakh passengers. Many who returned to India from the UAE when the travel restrictions were eased are now stranded and unable to return. Most of the travelers to the UAE are from India. As of 2019, there are about 3.4 million Indians living in the UAE. However, the number of passengers has not declined by 48 per cent since 2019. Dubai Airport handled 23.8 lakh passengers in July. This is an increase of 32% over June.

The UAE's General Civil Aviation Authority has banned flights from India since April 24, when corona expansion was rampant. This was after the discovery of the presence of the Delta variety in India. It is unknown at this time what he will do after leaving the post.

The Mexico-US route is the busiest. It is one of the five airlines that have not seen a decline in passenger numbers since the Corona era. The number of passengers traveling from Russia to Turkey and Ukraine has also remained unchanged.

According to the latest information provided by Emirates Airlines, travel to Dubai from India, Bangladesh, Pakistan and Sri Lanka will remain in place until August 7. Travel within 14 days is also prohibited. Only UAE nationals, UAE Golden Visa holders and diplomats will be eligible for the exemption.
