MINISTRY OF HEALTH STARTED USING SOTROVIMAB FOR TREATMENT OF COVID

Kuwait City: The Ministry of Health has started using Sotrovimab for the treatment of Kovid in Kuwait. Sotrovimab was first used in moderate cases of Kovid. At hospitals in Al-Razi, Jaber al-Ahmad and Farwaniya, Covid began using the drug sotrovimab in patients infected with the 19 virus. The medicine will soon be available in all hospitals in Kuwait.


Sotrovimab Antibody Treatment, approved by the US Food and Drug Administration, is approved by most Gulf countries. The manufacturers claim that this treatment is 85% effective and has no side effects.

Patients who receive this dose are reported to leave the hospital within 24 hours. This treatment can reduce the mortality rate and prevent admission to the intensive care unit.
