MINISTRY OF HEALTH GRANTS RONAPREV ANTIBODY IMMEDIATE APPROVAL FOR COVID TREATMENT

Kuwait City: The Ministry of Health has announced that Ronaprave has been given immediate approval for an antibody to treat Covid. The Kuwaiti Pharmaceutical Regulatory Authority has approved the immediate use of the antibody. Ronaprive is used to prevent corona infections, to treat severe Covid patients, and to reduce the risk of infection. The drug, developed by US biotech companies Regeneron and Roche, is given by injection or infusion and acts on the lining of the respiratory system.


It then attaches to the virus and blocks it from entering the cells. "With the use of Ronaprive, the risk of hospitalization of Covid patients can be reduced and patients can be given more relief," said Dr. Krishna Kumar, Assistant Under Secretary, Drug Control, Ministry of Health. Ronaprave has been shown to be safe and effective in clinical trials and is being used in the United States and Britain, health officials said.
