UAE WITH BIG PLANS TO PROVIDE JOBS TO NATIVE IN PRIVATE SECTOR

Abu Dhabi: The UAE government has big plans to provide employment to 75,000 nationals in the private sector over the next five years. It is part of a series of 50 events to mark the 50th anniversary of the formation of the nation. The announcement was made in Abu Dhabi yesterday. 


The new plan was announced in front of a gathering of UAE cabinet ministers and top officials at the Khazour Al Watwan in Abu Dhabi. The Emirati Talent Competitiveness Council will be formed to ensure the work ethic of the natives. 

A $ 1 billion alumni fund will be set aside to provide micro loans to university students and recent graduates. Indigenous people working in the private sector will be paid Dh800 per child for the care of their children. 

Thus, 125 crore dirhams will be set aside to pay a maximum of 3200 dirhams per person per month. Cabinet Minister Mohammed Abdullah al-Gargawi said the government aims to employ 10 percent of expatriates in the private sector over the next five years.

 It also plans to hire 10,000 indigenous nurses over five years. Three levels of training will be provided for this. In addition to the degree course in Nursing, courses for Health Assistants and Higher Diploma in Emergency Medicine will also be introduced. Training programs for various occupations up to 12 months will be conducted in collaboration with private and quasi-government institutions. 

Financial assistance will be given to those who come for training in this. University students will be paid a salary of Rs 8000 per month. The government will provide financial assistance to the natives for the first five years of employment. A maximum of AED 5,000 per month will be provided.
