THE 'VIOLATIONS' COMMITTED BY KAC BOARD MEMBERS ARE BEING INVESTIGATED

Kuwait City; The Financial and Economic Affairs Committee cancelled its meeting on Thursday due to the absence of Abdulwahab Al- Rushaid, Minister of Finance and Minister of State for Economic Affairs and Investments, and Jamal Al- Jalwai, Minister of Justice and State Minister of Nazaha (Integrity) Enhancement. Committee Chairman MP Ahmed Al-Hamad noted that Minister of Commerce and Industry Fahd Al-Shrean had earlier called the committee and apologised for being unable to attend due to prior commitments. He stated that the meeting was attended by only the undersecretaries and assistant undersecretaries. 


He went on to say that the agenda for the cancelled meeting included essential topics including addressing the bill offering compensation to victims of real estate fraud. He went on to explain that this is the second meeting that has been cancelled due to the absence of the government, despite the fact that compensating real estate fraud victims is essential to most citizens.

Meanwhile, MP Khalid Al-Otaibi sent questions to Minister of Finance and Minister of State for Economic Affairs and Investments Abdulwahab Al-Rushaid about the violations committed by members of Kuwait Airways Corporation's (KAC) Board of Directors who distributed senior positions in subsidiaries among themselves.
