Dubai: With just days to go before the expo ends, there is a huge increase in the number of visitors traveling on special buses. According to the Road Transport Authority (RTA), buses plying from different emirates and from different parts of the city use 37,500 passengers daily.

In this case, the authorities decided to increase the number of services. Mohammed Al Ali, director of RTA Bus Services, said the increase in services was to facilitate better travel to the expo as traffic was still likely to increase.

The authority said that in addition to the 157 buses already sanctioned, 31 new buses will be in service this week. Most of the buses are currently going to the Expo with full seats and passengers. The rush was only in the early evenings. Apart from buses, the metro is also very busy. Many arrive in taxis or in their own vehicles. Roads leading to Expo City are congested.
