PUT EMPTY PLASTIC BOTTLES IN VENDING MACHINES TO GET FREE TRAVEL IN ABU DHABI

Abu Dhabi: The Abu Dhabi Integrated Transportation Center has promised to provide free travel if empty plastic bottles are deposited in vending machines. Those who put the bottles in the vending machines set up at the bus stations will get points. You can cash in on this point and take a bus trip. 


Although the machine is currently only available at the city's main bus station, the project will soon be extended to other centers. Officials believe the plan will eliminate the tendency for bottles to be left unattended after use. Bottles up to 600 ml will get one point and bottles with more than 600 ml will get two points. 

Since one point is equal to 10 fils, one dirham can be earned by collecting 10 points. The money is to be transferred to the personal bus card through Hafilot. The bottles will be recycled later, officials said.
