BIG BOOM IN DUBAI TOURISM, 51 LAKH VISITS IN FOUR MONTHS

Dubai: Dubai tourism is booming as Covid conditions improve. The number of visitors, including Indians, touched 51 lakh in the first four months of this year. This is a threefold increase over the same time period previous year. The occupancy rate in hotels increased to 76%.


Aside from India, travellers come from Oman, Saudi Arabia, the United Kingdom, and Russia. By 2025, Dubai plans to have over 2.5 million visitors. The goal is to move from fourth to first place in terms of visitor numbers. Bangkok, London, and Paris are the first three cities. 

The tourism industry has also profited from the release of new visas as well as significant discounts on existing visas. Even in the heat, the city is ready to welcome guests. Visitors are drawn to Dubai Summer Surprises, Eid in Dubai, Dubai Safari, Dubai Food Festival, and the Marmum Camel Race.
