EXPATRIATES FAMILIES ARE HIT HARD BY FLIGHT TICKET PRICES

Abu Dhabi: Expatriate families who are about to return to the Gulf after the summer holidays have been hit hard by the increase in air ticket prices. Unable to afford the amount, many families are staying in the country. Schools opened yesterday in the Gulf. 


The ticket price for a family of four to Dubai ranges from Rs 1.6 lakh to Rs 3.5 lakh. If traveling to Abu Dhabi, the fare will increase by Rs 5000-10,000. One way fare is above Rs 40,000 per person.

Even if you pay this amount, there are no seats on direct flights. The situation is that it is possible to reach the UAE only after traveling for several hours on connecting flights, which has a journey time of 4 hours. 

Minimum Rs 52,000 per person to Kuwait and Rs 2.3 lakh to Rs 5 lakh for a family of four. To Qatar Rs 1.5 to Rs 4.2 lakh. 

The ticket price is Rs 35,000 per person. 35,000 per person and a minimum of Rs 1.25 lakh for a family of four to Muscat, the capital of Oman. 

1.7 lakhs to 5.5 lakhs to Bahrain. The rate is above Rs 44,000 per person. The current fare to Saudi capital Riyadh is Rs 50,000 per person and Rs 1.8 to 9.4 lakh for a family of four.
