Sudan conflict: Around 700,000 people displaced

Sudan: According to a UN agency, the number of people internally displaced by combating between opposing military factions has more than doubled in the past week to about 700,000. Despite the fact that ceasefire talks are being held in Saudi Arabia, the rise in displacements has stoked fears of a upsurge in conflict. The capital of Sudan, Khartoum, is still experiencing airstrikes and ground combat. Neighborhoods as a whole have become deserted as people leave their homes.
