An Indian government official has been suspended from work after ordering a water tank to be drained to recover his phone, which had fallen into the water. After Rajesh Vishwas' camera fell out of his hand while taking selfie, it took three days to pump millions of liters of water out of the dam.

The food inspector had dropped his phone, at Khirkata Dam, in Chhattisgarh state, central India. Vishwas claimed that his phone held private government information that needed to be retrieved, but he was accused of misusing his power.
