Mexico's anthropology institute stated on Tuesday that a previously unknown ancient Mayan city had been found in the forests of southern Mexico and that it was probably a significant center over a thousand years ago. According to the INAH institute, the city has big, pyramid-shaped buildings, stone columns, three plazas with "imposing buildings," and other constructions arranged in nearly circular patterns.
