According to Belarus' president, Yevgeny Prigozhin, the owner of the private army of mercenaries and prisoners who took part in some of the bloodiest battles during Russia's invasion of Ukraine, escaped prosecution for his failed armed uprising against the Kremlin. He is currently in Belarus. The agreement that put an end to the brief mutiny in Russia included the exile of the 62-year-old owner of the Wagner Group.
