Nepal imposes two-month prohibition on operation of non-essential flights

Nepal's aviation regulator has imposed a two-month prohibition on the operation of non-essential flights, including sight-seeing flights, by helicopters in the Everest region following a fatal incident in which six individuals were killed. On Tuesday, five Mexican tourists and a Nepali pilot operating a small helicopter owned by Manang Air Company were killed in a helicopter crash while returning from a view of Himalayan peaks including Mount Everest.
