Residents of a German city evacuates after discovery of World War bomb

Nearly 13,000 residents of the German city of Duisseldorf have been temporarily ordered to evacuate their homes due to the discovery of a bomb from World War II, according to German news agency Deutsche Welle. The bomb, which was discovered during working hours in the vicinity of the city zoo. 

During the disposal operation, the city's roads were temporarily closed. Between 1940 and 1945, the United States and British Air Force dropped a total of 2.7 million tons of explosives on Europe, of which half were dropped on Germany.
