Doctors removed a live 8-centimeter (3-inch) long parasitic roundworm from a 64-year-old Australian woman's brain. After weeks of suffering from stomach pain, diarrhea, a persistent dry cough, a fever, losing consciousness and feeling depressed, she was rushed to the hospital where an MRI scan showed something strange in her right frontal lobe.

The doctors and researchers thought that a carpet python could have transmitted the parasite to the greens, which she then touched and came into contact with food.
