Brightest super blue moon is coming

  • 30/08/2023

The second occurrence of the most prominent lunar event of the year, the super blue moon, is set to take place on either the 30th or 31st of August, depending on the location.

On Wednesday evening, the celestial curtain will rise with the second full Moon of the month, which is why it is referred to as a blue moon. It's called supermoon because the moon is closer to the Earth than usual, resulting in a particularly large and bright moon.
