Central Bank of the Philippines data issued yesterday revealed a decline in the volume of Filipino workers’ remittances from Kuwait during the year 2023 by 2.01% to reach the level of $585 million, compared to their remittances amounting to $597 million during the year 2022, ranking fourth in the Gulf.
Regarding the level of Filipino workers’ remittances from the Gulf Cooperation Council countries during the past year, they increased by 4.3% to reach the level of $5.59 billion, compared to their remittances during 2022, which amounted to $5.36 billion.
