Kuwait introduces Caller ID to tackle fraudulent phone calls

The user experience and security of financial communications have been prioritized by the Telecommunications Authority through the implementation of a new regulation. This regulation mandates that all service providers and authorized public telecommunications networks must display the caller's name for incoming calls. The activation of this feature will be seamless for users, as it will be automatically enabled on all devices without any need for manual adjustments or extra charges. 


Effective from January 1, 2024, the regulation underscores the significance of accurately displaying the caller's name and ensuring its alignment with the user's identification details.
