Data published by the Central Administration of Statistics on Tuesday indicated that consumer price indexes (inflation) in Kuwait rose by 3.28 percent in January compared to the previous year. The statistics also showed a 0.15 percent increase in the inflation rate on a monthly basis when compared to December of the previous year. The annual increase in inflation was mainly due to price hikes in essential categories such as clothing, food, education, and housing services.
