The private labor market witnessed the joining of 55,000 domestic workers, after they were transferred from Article 20 to Article 18, within the two-month deadline set by the Residency Affairs Sector at the Ministry of Interior in cooperation with the Public Authority for Manpower for the transfer, which began on July 14 last year and ended yesterday on September 12th based on Ministerial Resolution No. 6 of 2024.
Security sources revealed to Al-Rai that the Residency Affairs Sector at the Interior Ministry completed 55,000 transfer requests from domestic workers to the private work sector during the specified period, which will contribute significantly to filling the deficit in the local market due to the shortage of workers in the country.
