In a major food safety initiative, the Public Authority for Food seized 250 kilograms of tainted meat in Hawalli, which was in the process of being thawed and marketed as fresh. Alongside the meat confiscation, officials issued 11 violation reports and disposed of several contaminated food products identified during the inspection. Furthermore, authorities uncovered that certain vendors were thawing frozen meat, poultry, and birds, misrepresenting them as fresh items. Abdullah Al-Kandari, Director of the Hawalli Governorate Inspection Department, underscored that legal measures are being taken against those accountable for these infractions.
