The Sharq Market in Kuwait has recently welcomed a significant delivery of around 71 tons of imported fish and shrimp, with the objective of making seafood more accessible to consumers. This considerable shipment, which includes fish varieties sourced from Iran, Pakistan, and Saudi Arabia, is anticipated to lower prices and expand the selection available to shoppers. As reported by commercial sources, this surge in supply is the result of extensive negotiations between the Commercial Control Department, the Union of Imported Fish Offices, and the Kuwaiti Fishermen’s Union. These joint efforts aimed to address challenges associated with fish imports and promote healthy competition within the market.
