The Minister of Commerce and Industry, Khalifa Al-Ajeel, issued a decision banning cash transactions in all car sales operations and restricting payment operations to banking channels, starting from the first of next October.
The Ministry of Commerce and Industry said in a press statement on Wednesday, that this decision comes within the framework of its efforts to reduce suspicions of money laundering and financial crimes in the country, indicating that preventing cash circulation will contribute effectively to reducing financial crimes and filling the gaps related to money laundering specifically.
