Kuwait Declares January 1-2 as New Year Holidays

The Kuwait Council of Ministers has announced a two-day public holiday on January 1 and 2, 2025, in observance of the New Year. During this period, work in all ministries, government institutions, public bodies, and related agencies will be suspended.

Normal operations are set to resume on Sunday, January 5, 2025. Organizations with specialized functions will determine their holiday schedules in consultation with the relevant authorities to ensure continuity in essential services and safeguard public interests.

This decision provides an extended holiday period for government employees, allowing them to celebrate and enjoy the New Year festivities.
