PM Modi to Visit Kuwait Following Invitation from Kuwaiti Leadership

Prime Minister Narendra Modi has graciously accepted an invitation from the leadership of Kuwait to visit the Gulf nation at the earliest opportunity. The announcement came after a meeting between Kuwait’s Foreign Minister, H.E. Abdullah Ali Al-Yahya, and PM Modi at the latter’s residence in Lok Kalyan Marg, New Delhi.

Reflecting on his prior discussions with Kuwait’s Crown Prince, His Highness Sheikh Sabah Khaled Al-Hamad Al-Sabah, during their September meeting in New York, PM Modi expressed satisfaction with the growing bilateral ties between India and Kuwait.

The Prime Minister extended his gratitude to the Kuwaiti leadership for their continued care and support of the Indian diaspora, which exceeds one million members in the country. He emphasized the vital role of this relationship in strengthening the partnership between India and the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC). With Kuwait holding the current presidency of the GCC, PM Modi expressed optimism for deeper collaboration in areas of mutual interest.

The leaders also discussed the ongoing situation in West Asia, jointly expressing hope for a swift return to peace, stability, and security in the region. This prospective visit is expected to further solidify the longstanding friendship and cooperative efforts between India and Kuwait.
