Kuwait Sends First Female Officer for Aviation Training in Greece

The Ministry of Interior has dispatched First Lieutenant Dana Al-Shaleen to study aviation sciences in Greece, marking the first time a Kuwaiti female officer has been sent abroad for such training within the military sector. The scholarship, supported by Interior Minister Sheikh Fahd Yousef Saud Al-Sabah, is part of ongoing efforts to develop police aviation capabilities.

Brigadier General Pilot Salem Al-Shehab, Director General of the Police Aviation Wing, stated that Al-Shaleen will receive advanced academic and practical training to qualify as a pilot officer. He emphasized that the step reflects the state’s vision to empower women and enhance their role across all security and military fields.
