Iran has announced a phased plan to reopen its airspace following disruptions caused by recent regional tensions. The strategy, reported by Tasnim News Agency, outlines a four-stage approach to restore aviation operations across the country.
According to officials from the Civil Aviation Organisation, the reopening will begin with limited transit flights passing through Iranian airspace. The second phase will allow flight operations to resume from airports in the eastern regions.
In the third stage, major aviation hubs including Mehrabad International Airport and Imam Khomeini International Airport will restart both domestic and international services, significantly expanding connectivity.
The final phase will see the gradual reopening of western airports, completing the nationwide restoration of air travel services.
Officials said the phased approach is designed to ensure a safe and stable return to normal operations while managing risks linked to the recent disruptions.
