PACI issues security warning to Kuwait Mobile ID users

The Public Authority for Civil Information (PACI) has urged citizens and residents using the ‘My Kuwait Mobile ID’ application to exercise caution and follow security measures to protect their digital identities.

PACI advised users not to approve any authentication request they have not initiated themselves. Users who receive an unexpected request should first verify which organization or service provider sent it and understand why the authorization is being requested before taking any action.

The authority also urged users to be particularly careful with requests seeking personal information. Unverified requests should not be approved or responded to without confirming their source and purpose.

PACI said these precautions are important to ensure the secure use of digital identity services and protect users’ personal information.

The warning has been issued as part of efforts to prevent cyber fraud and protect Kuwait Mobile ID users from unauthorized access or potentially fraudulent requests.
