Hamad Medical Corporation has secured the Gold Award at the 12th National Cyber Drill organised by the Qatar National Cyber Security Agency, recognising its outstanding performance in healthcare cybersecurity.

Held in Doha under the theme “Cross-Border Attacks,” the drill is considered one of the largest cybersecurity exercises in the Arab region. The event saw participation from over 1,800 delegates representing 198 organisations across 21 countries.

The exercise included advanced simulations and training scenarios at both technical and management levels, aimed at strengthening responses to cyber threats and improving resilience against potential attacks.

The award was received by Dr Amal Juma Abdullah, Chief Information Officer of HMC, during a ceremony in Doha. Officials highlighted that the recognition reflects HMC’s strong preparedness and capability in safeguarding critical healthcare systems from cyber risks.
