Jeddah Tower reaches 100 floors, moves closer to surpassing Burj Khalifa

Saudi Arabia’s ambitious Jeddah Tower has achieved a major construction milestone, with the completion of its 100th floor. The tower has now reached a height of approximately 394 metres, marking steady progress toward becoming the world’s tallest building.

Once completed, Jeddah Tower is expected to exceed 1,000 metres in height, overtaking the current record-holder, Burj Khalifa in Dubai. It has already surpassed the height of PIF Tower in Riyadh.

Construction of the tower began in 2013 but faced multiple setbacks, including financial challenges, the COVID-19 pandemic, and contractor changes, leading to a prolonged pause. Work resumed in early 2025 and is now advancing at a faster pace.

Project officials have set a target to complete and open the tower by 2028, positioning it as a landmark development in Saudi Arabia’s skyline and a symbol of its ambitious infrastructure goals.
