Saudi employees eligible for up to 15 days paid Hajj leave under labor law

Employees in Saudi Arabia are entitled to paid leave for performing Hajj, according to the Ministry of Human Resources and Social Development.

Under the regulations, eligible workers can receive between 10 to 15 days of paid leave, including Eid holidays. However, the benefit is subject to specific conditions. Employees must have completed at least two years of continuous service with their employer and must not have previously performed Hajj, as the leave is granted only once during their employment.

The ministry also clarified that employers have the authority to determine how many employees can take Hajj leave at a given time, ensuring business operations are not disrupted. Companies can manage approvals based on operational requirements.

Officials said the policy aims to support employees in fulfilling religious obligations while maintaining workplace efficiency and continuity.
