Education Ministry revises high school timings for 2025–2026 academic year

The Ministry of Education has announced new school timings for secondary-level students as part of a temporary adjustment for the 2025–2026 academic year.

According to the decision issued by Acting Undersecretary Muhammad Al-Khalidi, the school day will begin at 8:00 AM and end at 12:35 PM. The revised schedule includes six class periods per day, each lasting 40 minutes, with a focus on core academic subjects.

The changes apply across general education, religious schools, special education institutions, and private schools. Officials said the restructuring is designed to optimise learning time, improve efficiency, and better serve students’ academic needs.

The ministry clarified that the revised timetable is a temporary measure and will remain in effect until the end of the current academic year.
