Iran launches fresh attack on United Arab Emirates, three injured

The Ministry of Defense has confirmed that the United Arab Emirates intercepted two ballistic missiles and three drones launched by Iran in a fresh attack targeting the country.

Officials said three people were injured during the latest incident as regional tensions continue to escalate. Authorities did not immediately disclose the severity of the injuries.

According to defence officials, the total number of ballistic missiles launched by Iran toward the UAE since the beginning of the conflict has now reached 551, while 29 cruise missiles have also been fired. The UAE Armed Forces stated that they have intercepted and destroyed 2,263 drones during the same period.

The ministry added that the number of people injured by debris from intercepted missiles and drones has risen to 230. Those affected include citizens and expatriates from several countries, including India, Egypt, the Philippines, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, Azerbaijan, Yemen, Uganda, Bahrain, Iraq, Nepal, Palestine, Turkey, Nigeria, Oman, Jordan and Indonesia.

Officials also confirmed that 10 people have been killed in the attacks so far, including a Moroccan member of the armed forces.

The UAE Armed Forces said they remain on high alert and are fully prepared to respond to any threats targeting the country’s security and stability. Authorities stressed that any attempt to undermine national security would be dealt with firmly.

Meanwhile, fresh explosions were reported in the Strait of Hormuz near Qeshm Island and Bandar Abbas amid continuing tensions between the United States and Iran.

The latest developments have raised concerns over regional security and fears of further escalation across the Gulf region.
