The National Center of Meteorology has forecast continued fog, dust storms and rough sea conditions across the United Arab Emirates during the coming days as temperatures and wind speeds increase.
According to the weather department, some coastal regions are likely to witness fog formation and increased humidity during Wednesday morning hours, while skies across most areas are expected to remain generally clear to partly cloudy.
Authorities said temperatures in coastal and inland regions could range between 38 and 42 degrees Celsius during the week amid hot summer conditions.
The meteorological department warned that northwesterly and southwesterly winds are expected to strengthen at times, particularly on Thursday and Friday, with wind speeds possibly reaching up to 40 kilometres per hour.
The strong winds are likely to trigger dust storms and reduced visibility, especially in northern and eastern parts of the country.
Officials also warned that sea conditions in both the Arabian Gulf and the Sea of Oman may become rough during Thursday and Friday due to increased wind activity.
People planning sea trips or marine activities have been advised to remain cautious and follow safety instructions issued by authorities.
The weather department added that conditions are expected to gradually improve by Saturday as wind speeds decrease and sea conditions become calmer, bringing slight relief from the unstable weather.
Residents have also been urged to monitor official forecasts regularly and take precautions during dusty conditions, particularly while driving or participating in outdoor activities.
