Dubai: The National Centre of Meteorology (NCM) has warned that extreme heat and dusty conditions will continue across the UAE over the coming days, with temperatures expected to climb as high as 47°C in some inland areas.
According to the forecast, weather conditions will remain generally clear across most parts of the country, although eastern regions may experience occasional partly cloudy skies.
Strong southwesterly and northwesterly winds are expected to increase during the afternoon, reaching speeds of up to 40 km/h at times. The winds may raise dust and sand, reducing horizontal visibility in exposed areas.
Temperatures are forecast to range between 42°C and 47°C in inland regions, 36°C to 42°C along coastal areas and islands, and 32°C to 38°C in mountainous areas.
The NCM also indicated that sea conditions in the Arabian Gulf may become rough due to strengthening winds, while the Gulf of Oman is expected to remain relatively calm.
Authorities have advised motorists to exercise caution, particularly in areas affected by blowing dust, and urged residents to stay hydrated, avoid prolonged exposure to direct sunlight and follow weather updates.
The hot and dusty conditions are expected to persist until at least Friday, with no significant change in weather patterns anticipated during the period.
