Kuwait Cleanup Drive Removes 18 Tonnes of Waste

Kuwait City: Kuwait Municipality has removed around 18 tonnes of waste during a large-scale cleanup and inspection campaign carried out in the Ahmadi Governorate.

The operation focused on the Fahaheel and Al Wafra agricultural areas, where authorities targeted locations posing potential public health risks and businesses operating in violation of municipal regulations.

As part of the campaign, officials seized 14 unlicensed mobile vending carts and removed several abandoned vehicles found across the inspected areas. Authorities also issued six violation reports against roaming vendors who failed to comply with municipal laws.

Municipality officials said the campaign forms part of ongoing efforts to improve public cleanliness, protect community health and enforce regulations across residential and agricultural zones.

Authorities added that similar inspection campaigns will continue in the coming weeks, with strict action planned against illegal commercial activities and environmental violations throughout Kuwait.
