Kuwait City: Kuwait’s Ministry of Education has confirmed that twelfth-grade final examinations will begin on Wednesday following the official announcement of the Islamic New Year holiday on Tuesday.
The ministry said the exam schedule has returned to its original timetable after previously being linked to the confirmation of the holiday date. Students will receive Tuesday as a holiday before examinations commence on Wednesday as planned.
Under the approved schedule, science stream students will complete their exams on June 28, while arts and religious education students will finish on June 29.
The ministry also reassured students and parents that university admission procedures and scholarship programmes will continue according to the planned timetable. Officials stated that all technical and administrative arrangements related to grading, result processing and admissions have already been prepared.
Education Minister Jalal Al-Tabtabai had earlier instructed education officials to ensure students receive adequate preparation time and are provided with a stable examination environment that supports academic success.
The ministry said the arrangements aim to balance academic requirements with organisational needs while ensuring students can sit their exams under the best possible conditions.
