Kuwait Warns Housing Applicants to Update Details Within 90 Days

Kuwait City: Applicants for government-owned rental housing in Kuwait must update their personal information and required documents within 90 days of receiving a notification or risk having their applications cancelled under a new ministerial decision.

The amendment was issued by Minister of Municipal Affairs and Housing Eng. Abdul Latif Al-Mishari, introducing new provisions to the regulations governing government rental housing.

According to the Public Authority for Housing Welfare (PAHW), applicants must submit updated personal details and supporting documents within the 90-day period to keep their applications valid.

Under the new rules, applications will be automatically cancelled and removed from PAHW records if the required information is not updated within the specified timeframe. Authorities clarified that no additional warning or notice will be issued before the application is cancelled.

The decision was made after considering recommendations from the Women’s Housing Committee and studies evaluating the circumstances of beneficiaries.

Officials said the new regulation is intended to ensure that government housing assistance reaches eligible applicants, maintain accurate beneficiary records and improve transparency in the allocation of public housing services.
