Dubai: The UAE will continue to experience intense summer heat, with temperatures expected to reach 47°C in the country’s interior regions, according to the National Centre of Meteorology (NCM).
The NCM said the weather will be generally clear, while partly cloudy skies are expected over the eastern parts of the country. Low clouds may also develop along the eastern coast, with conditions becoming favourable for thunderstorm activity in some areas during the afternoon.
Humidity levels are forecast to increase across coastal areas from Friday night into Saturday morning, which could make conditions feel more uncomfortable, particularly during the early morning hours.
Light to moderate northeasterly and northwesterly winds, with speeds of up to 30 km/h, are expected. These winds may occasionally raise dust and reduce visibility in exposed areas over the weekend.
The NCM added that sea conditions will remain generally calm in both the Arabian Gulf and the Sea of Oman.
Authorities advise residents to stay hydrated, avoid prolonged outdoor exposure during peak afternoon hours and follow official weather updates.
