Kuwait Condemns Alleged Iranian Attack, Warns of Strong Response

Kuwait City: Kuwait has strongly condemned what it described as an alleged Iranian attack targeting its sovereignty, warning that it is prepared to take all necessary measures to safeguard the country’s security and territorial integrity.

In a statement issued on Wednesday, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs said the incident represented a serious violation of Kuwait’s sovereignty and accused Iran of acting in breach of international law and the principles of the United Nations Charter.

The ministry stressed that Kuwait’s national security and the safety of its citizens are a “red line”, adding that any action threatening the country’s stability would be met with appropriate measures in accordance with national and international law.

Officials also said repeated incidents of this nature undermine international efforts aimed at reducing tensions and promoting stability in the region. Kuwait reaffirmed its right to protect its borders and maintain peace and security.

The government announced that it would strengthen security measures and pursue diplomatic channels to raise the issue with the international community.

The statement indicated that the latest incident could further strain relations between Kuwait and Iran.
